grow Ted and maybe just maybe to wake up on time now as we open the ceremony I invite you to join me in a moment of Prayer let us begin in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy holy spirit amen loving God thank you for bringing us to this moment of Celebration bless our graduates our families and all who have guided us grant us wisdom for the journey ahead courage to follow your our next speaker our salutatorian aerosim good afternoon and thank you for coming today to celebrate the wonderful group of people sitting behind me on stage I think I can speak for all of us when I say that we are extremely grateful for every 1 of you in the support you've given I came to Duboce Central Catholic in seventh grade my first day is a blur now but I remember the feeling of belonging even though I can't bond with my classmates over elementary teachers classes and field trips I've never had an issue connecting with these people people I quickly realized that DCC students stood out from other students these people wanted deep connections meaningful conversations and true friendships with their classmates and their teachers worked diligently to Foster these values now almost 6 years after my first day I still see this play out around me when I think about my time here all of my best memories of DCC don't revolve around my own successes they involve every person sitting on this stage the people who work so hard to bring our class together the ones who made the lunchroom chaotic the ones who carefully braided the girl's hair at least once a week the friends and Home Room who would tell the teacher I was here before the bell rang for me even though I was usually still sitting in the parking lot these people deserve a place in my Narrative of DCC I don't think it would be fair to remember our school without recognizing the people that have made it so memorable our classes had ups and downs most related to our failed senior Assassin game but I have never felt like a stranger to these people I doubt I will in the future senior breakfast in the parking lot ice cream after school events spending the night in the school and signing our shirts before our last walk through the Halls have shown me how lucky I am to be a part of this class it wasn't just the class of 2025 that made DCC so special though every teacher I've had the pleasure of meeting and sitting in a classroom with has been a crucial part of who I am today the teachers who sat with me through complicated applications gave me advice for my future plans and work through difficult math problems with me are the ones who I'm most grateful for the faces I saw daily in the office Library are simply walking through the hallways always brighten my day everyone who spent their mornings and afternoons at DCC whether it was as a teacher student or admin became part of my routine it would be very difficult for me to forget all the people I've had the privilege of meeting at this school the goal of high school has always been to sit on this stage receive our diplomas and throw our caps in the air we've all accomplished so much more than this though we've laughed cried and hugged together the entire middle and high school got to watch an Avengers movie made by seniors we won 2 Powder Puff Games which is 2 more than the class of 2024 1 we've had District Champions and sent athletes to State competitions we survived and I was an AP tests college applications in the quickly draining hourglass representing our time in this building we made memories and it would be foolish not to celebrate this accomplishment the goal was to leave but I know that every 1 of us on stage sees how Bittersweet this achievement really is we did it but today is a goodbye The Hourglass is up the time for making more memories is ending the phases we've grown so familiar with will no longer be there every day I think this makes our time together even more precious I didn't trade the time I spent with my classmates for anything in the world every student in my class has contributed so much to the growing bond between each and every 1 of us and our final goodbye today won't be easy I want to thank the people that came to support us this afternoon but I also want to thank the class of 2025 thank you for making my time at DCC so memorable thank you for laughing with me and struggling with me thank you for the time we spent together preparing for the future and thank you for graduating with me I'd like to introduce our next speaker the valedictorian of 2025 Lauren Jenkins good afternoon friends family and faculty thank you for joining us today to celebrate Dubois Central Catholics class of 2025 without the support of everyone sitting here today in washing at home our class would not be where it is right now thank you to all the parents who made the decision to send your children to the school as it truly is a privilege to attend DCC today 1 chapter of Our Lives is ending in another is beginning but we will never forget the time we spent here all our shared memories and experiences will help shape us for the rest of our lives 1 of my favorite things about our graduating class is that even if we aren't all the best of friends I can say with confidence that I could have a conversation and laugh with anyone on this stage right now even if that conversation is just bonding over our shared dislike for certain projects tests or assignments this is something I believe is 1 of the most impactful results lots of attending DCC you learn to work closely with those you may not share a ton in common with this will serve our class well not only while Exploring Life After High School but also for the rest of our lives I'm sure I don't need to get into too much detail about the countless memories our class has nor do I have the time for all the Amazing Stories from senior breakfast on the first day of school to breakfast on the last our class made sure to have fun in our last year of high school we were lucky enough to have Trent in our class so Mrs Miller basically grew up with us too I think this led to her having a little bit of a soft spot for us even though we may have drove her crazy and begged for dress down days every single day our grade definitely has a lot of talent from Sports to academics to Arts and Music our grade has left a legacy on all aspects of the school in sports the impact has been flip losing Seasons to winning seasons District Meadows and 2pi AAA state championship teams with hopefully 2 more District titles coming tomorrow for baseball and softball in the School Musical the seniors involved helped put on 1 of the best school musicals I can remember this year those involved in have helped us have helped to bring Mass back to what I remember it as an elementary school with outstanding singing and playing of instruments the impacts by our class didn't happen by chance they were the result of hard work passion and dedication with all the hard work inside the classroom and side I have no doubt that we will all succeed once we leave these doors over these 4 years we have learned a lot both in the classroom and outside we learned how to cram essays homework and studying into 1 or 2 nights which bathrooms are the best to use what days to buy school lunch and to only throw things in the cafeteria when the lunch monitors weren't looking we have also been taught a lot of great life lessons the 1 that stuck with stuck out to me was living in the moment and not dwelling on the past I think it's very important for us to live in the moment I know I felt myself many times sitting in classes wishing for the bellering for the weekend to come sooner or for the year to end but now I wish I could have some of those moments back every class we sat through laugh we shared an assignment we did taught us a lesson even if all we wanted then was for the school day to be over looking back now it feels like all the wonderful memories we made freshman sophomore and even junior year were just a couple months ago when we look back at this chapter in our lives I hope we can remember all the good times we had and not get stuck thinking about the bad ones as we all take on different paths and lives I look at the stage and see that we have all grown not just academically but as people as a result of our time spent at Dubois Central Catholic I'd now like to call Mrs Miller and Mrs Crusoe for the presentation of diplomas at this time we will present the diplomas to the graduating seniors of the class of 2025 as I call the name name of each graduate I ask that the parents Guardians family and friends of The Graduate please stand to be recognized for their contributions to the success of their okay the hard part's over I think right good I had a few little tears but good afternoon everyone it is with great pride deep emotion and tremendous joy that I welcome you to this graduation ceremony for the class of 2025 today I speak not only as their principal but as you know as a parent I never imagined I would be a Catholic School principal nor presenting you with your diplomas 13 years after meeting you before addressing my graduating class I'd like to take a minute to recognize some very special and dedicated members in our in our Central Catholic Family First off to our parents thank you for enrolling your student or your children with us at DCC and Trust ing us with their education you deserve the credit for raising amazing group of young men and women who stand before us today when parents are involved in their in their students education the efforts compounds in a powerful force that leads onto Unlimited opportunities for success so I thank you for a DCC faculty and our Parish priests you all have played a key role in our seniors education and experiences as they navigate through the halls of of DCC I am very proud of the team who has demonstrated the day in and day out for their commitment for our students in the Catholic mission your kindness and caring for the students is the reason why these young adults will blossom into Future Leaders thank you again and now to my seniors you've always always welcome me into your lives as I became your principal when you were in sixth grade it was a big transition from being Trent's mom to be in principle for both of us I have the pleasure not only to teach and coach most of you but to be your principal I loved watching you grow and overcome many obstacles as a class you guys are always happy and you love to laugh I have now many of them since the first day in elementary school as a parent and again when I became their principal in sixth grade we've had many additions to our family since then I've witnessed them through missing teeth awkward haircuts knee high socks and Elementary sweat bands backpacks twice their size to becoming unorganized middle schoolers to the boys learning to tie their ties the girls learning how to do their hair and makeup in the girls always taking care of the boys to creating your schedules watching the tickety talk videos that you made and deciding to what you wanted to do after high school I watched you transform into the amazing young adults that you are today I spent an enormous amount of time together over the years some students like Payton I feel that I saw more than my own son at times you guys always would stop down into the office to get a snack or a drink of water just to talk and I'm sure just to get out of class at times I felt you would never leave my office but I wouldn't trade it for the world as a group though we learned many things from each other and I'm pretty sure that these seniors do not have a filter when it comes to sharing things with me they have been making fun of me for weeks and placing bets on how long I'll last through this beach before I start crying it's not going to happen so I'm good 1 of my favorite things with this group is how they always supported each other and wanted to do things together no matter if it was a play a musical academic contests or sporting event the class showed up in cheered each other on the a created memories together through their High School Journey we are blessed today to celebrate ate with them their last memory in this building as I always do every graduation I like to point out some of my favorite memories or sayings or events that they that the senior class has done so I've had to really scrub this if you know this group so Mrs Miller we really should have more senior privileges we know you're our favorite we're your favorite class you guys always had dress down day passes it was amazing the boys telling me whatever the girl said we did we didn't do but don't check the cameras anyway the jokes of the day and Trent getting a detention for standing on the the table telling the joke of the day still to this day he says it was so worth it being the only class since I've been here to win the back-to-back Powderpuff champions spending most of your eighth grade coid year in the library with Mrs austman teaching Deca in stream and the amazing inventions that you created you guys coming to me regretting that you doubled up on AP math courses with Mr Z and me telling you again I told you so watching all the amazing musicals drama skits and experience then our high school coreth blossom always having an amazing Scholastic challenge team at Pittsburgh or at Penn State seeing most of my senior Boys in prom dresses this year for drama skits all the district and state titles that you have won in sports and watching all the programs grow drastically because of you having my mock trial team turn into sharks at their court cases 3 weeks ago walking into the library in the morning and seeing all of you sleeping on the library tables after your senior sleepover I did not know how many kids you could put up in a air mattress but I'm pretty sure I saw 6 in 1 at 1 time you're telling me during the basketball season Mrs Miller wait till you see what we have planned for the student section tonight we promise we'll stay off the floors and we promise it's appropriate at this time we promise and having Mr Cedar be Moses Getting the staff taken away from him from Bonnie at Clarion University for the girls basketball game but he was still able to part Red Sea of our students section throughout it all will you guys always did this together you were always family your amazing group of adults and you were going to be successful in the next steps of your lives wherever your future leads you you know that your DCC family will be watching and cheering for you we'll always look forward to updates and seeing where your dreams lead follow your passions continue to lead and never settle although your Academic School year is over we have a few more things to accomplish we have the DCC players last last performance on Tuesday and as you have heard as well too our softball and baseball teams will be playing for districts tomorrow and trying to make another run at this State title do like you always do go support each other and continue pushing on so in closing I'm going to tell you 1 more time the things that I have told you since you were in sixth grade what's the first 1 Weston what do I always say make make good choices
