Tutoring:
Peer tutoring during homeroom, instructor and/or peer tutoring during activity periods.
DuBois Central Catholic School Players (Drama Productions):
This is both a co-curricular and extra-curricular activity. Dramatic productions are staged at least twice per year, usually during the Christmas season and religious holidays. The "Passion Play" is a sixth grade theology project and stage production. Middle school students may also try out for the yearly Spring Musical.
Physical Education:
All sixth, seventh and eighth grade students will participate in physical education classes. Intramural sports, life sports and good physical health will be stressed.
Art:
Art activities are a curriculum requirement. Art Enrichment is offered in seventh or eighth grades as a separate class.
Standardized Testing:
Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA) assessments are designed to target a student's academic performance in mathematics, reading, language usage, and science. Assessments are taken a minimum of three times a year for sixth, seventh and eighth grades. The assessments measure student performance, as well as the student academic growth in relation to national averages.
