Central Catholic High School, opening its doors in the fall of 1961, is a private school owned and operated by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Erie. Located in the small city of DuBois, a primarily service oriented community; the school serves approximately 50 preschool students, 200 elementary students, 100 students in grades 6-8, and 150 students in grades 9-12. Students are drawn primarily from the rural counties of Clearfield and Jefferson and are from all socio-economic levels.

Central Catholic provides a private primary and secondary education in a Catholic environment where faculty and students may grow in the love and spirit of Jesus Christ. To provide excellence in academics, to nurture a sense of community among students, and to impart to all students a commitment to God has always been the mission of the DuBois Central Catholic School System.
