Welcome Mark Barchony, DuBois Central Catholic School’s New Advancement Director

Mark Barchony is the new Advancement Director at DuBois Central Catholic School. He looks to be proactive in planning the future development of DCC. He is looking forward to reengaging the alumni at a personal level and working with local and regional businesses to impact Central moving forward.

Barchony was born in DuBois, but has lived all over the U.S.  His father is an alumnus of Central (Class of ’66) and his grandmother was the secretary of the school from the early 60’s to the early 80s when she retired.  When he decided to move back to Treasure Lake from Ohio, an opportunity to use his skills to support the school seemed like coming home to him.

Barchony comes to DCC from a long career in sales and marketing. He was the Director of Sales for Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio and the sales manager for a PGA Tour event in Ohio.  Barchony has always chosen to work where he feels he can make the biggest difference, and that’s exactly why he chose DCC.

Through DCC, he is excited to create opportunities for alumni and local businesses to impact the education of Central students. He explains, “One of my goals is to revamp the look and feel of the annual fund.”

A true lover of golf, Barchony looks forward to playing golf on the local courses and making new friends throughout DuBois and the surrounding communities.  He is looking forward to DCC’s Annual Golf Tournament which will be held on September 3rd at the DuBois Country Club.  It will be a great opportunity for him to meet long-time supporters of the school, as well as alumni, parents, and friends of the Central Family.  DCC is Cardinal Proud to welcome Mark Barchony.
