FACULTY of the WEEK: Stacey Frank, Kindergarten Faculty

Stacey (Sekula) Frank, Cl’ 1990, has taught at DCC for 25 years.  For the past 13 years she has been a kindergarten teacher.  Prior to teaching kindergarten, Stacey taught  2nd grade for 12 years.  She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from St. Bonaventure University and a Masters in Curriculum & Instruction from The Pennsylvania State University. Stacey is married to Tommy Frank. Her children Jordan and Jackson graduated from DCC and currently attend college. Her daughter, Jessy currently attends DCC.

When asked what she loves most of all about teaching at DCC and teaching in general she responded, ” I love being able to share my faith with my students and colleagues.” Her goals for her students are to teach them in such a way that the children will love to learn and enjoy school. She also hopes to help her children in developing a loving relationship with God.

One of the funniest moments Stacey experienced recently with a student was when she told the young lady she could possibly become the first female president. Her student’s response was, “I probably could, but I don’t think I’d want to!”
