3rd Annual Fall Sports Bonfire a Success

On August 29th, DuBois Central Catholic students, faculty, families, and friends came together to take part in the third annual fall sports bonfire. The event took place at the soccer fields from 5pm to 9 pm. Mrs. Caruso welcomed everyone while they ate outstanding food, enjoyed music, and played games. Students took part in fun activities like soccer, football, volleyball, and spike ball while they waited for Mrs. Caruso to start announcing the high school and middle school fall sports teams and players.

She started off by welcoming the Brockway Football Rovers who joined in on the bonfire celebration, as our team’s co-op. Mr. Jake Heigel introduced the football players on this year’s team. After that Mr. Phil Esposito introduced the players of the co-ed soccer team, then Mr. Tom Shade took pride in announcing his cross-country team, and next, Mr. Ted Fitzer announced the JV and Varsity Volleyball team. Finally, the last high school team, the Golf team was announced by Mr. Mike Gralla.

Some middle school sports were also recognized at the bonfire. Mr. Pat Fragle introduced the middle school soccer team, and Mrs. Karrie Miller introduced the middle school girls basketball.

After pictures, everyone ended the night by hanging out with family and friends and roasting marshmallows over the fire.
