Elementary Art Supports Upcoming School Musical…FOOTLOOSE!

DuBois Central Catholic Elementary students used their creativity to decorate old 33 rpm records, design colorful high tops, and even draw rubik’s cubes, all examples of 80’s memorabilia to help make DCC’s school hallways ‘get in the mood’ for Footloose, the Musical, with performances on March 29, 30, and a matinee on Sunday March 31. Three more performances will be taking place Friday, April 5, and Saturday, April 6, with a matinee at 2 p.m. and the closing performance at 7 p.m. that evening.   According to Emily Roy, elementary art teacher who coordinated the effort, twenty seven 3rd graders added their artistic touch to the old records, thirty-two 4th graders created colorful high tops, and fifty-five 5th graders tackled designing rubik’s cubes.
