CCHS-DCC Alumni Association Awards 7 Scholarships

At the Senior Awards Ceremony held after the Graduation Mass the evening of Saturday, June 2, in Central’s auditorium, seven alumni scholarships were presented to direct descendants of a Central alum by the alumni association. Each of these seven seniors ( Alexander Adamski, Brenna Engle, Kyle Fitzpatrick, Thomas Grecco, Madison Nasuti, Carolyn Sette, and Anastasia Tarcson) met the requirements...including providing a 250 word essay on ‘the value of the Catholic education received at Central’ by the mandated deadline.  Because of the generosity and support of alumni in paying their dues, these scholarships were made possible, according to association officer Marcia Belin Muir (Class of 1965) and Joyce Bernardo Taylor (Class of 1966) of DCC’s Communications & Alumni Office who were this year’s presenters.

Below are the Scholarship Guidelines! Note: Scholarship amount will vary from year to year!
The award is given to a graduating senior(s) who will be pursuing post-secondary education in the fall. The applicant must be a direct descendant of a DCC alum, such as the child of, grandchild of, or great grandchild (etc.) of an alum, who graduated from Central in 1962 and beyond. In addition, interested candidates must also submit a 250 word essay (by the announced deadline) about the value of the education received at Central and its positive impact on one’s life and faith. Note: The number of scholarships and the amount of each will vary from year to year and is determined by the officers of the CCHS-DCC Alumni Association.
