Planning for “Bid Around the Maypole” is in full swing!
Just a reminder! All auction items are donated each year from many sources: parents, grandparents, faculty & staff members, friends of DCC, and local businesses! This year’s event will take place on Friday, May 4, starting at 6 p.m. at the Lakeview Lodge at Treasure Lake, and dress is casual! The auction reservation price of only $30.00 per adult includes a hefty hors d’eouvre buffet of hot and cold items and complimentary beverages (beer, wine, & pop) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. along with a silent auction of 150+ items up for bid during this time period, too!
There is something for everyone at this annual event! All bidding is done by a pre-assigned Bid Paddle Number from the advance reservations, which are required!
At about 8:10 p.m., there will be a ‘live auction” of 40+ items. A tasty dessert buffet with coffee is included in the ticket price, too! Each year, DCC’s elementary grades create theme baskets for the silent auction. Each secondary (grades 6-12) homeroom (there are 14) creates a theme basket, too!
All proceeds from this yearly auction benefit all students at Central from Pre-K through Grade 12! The money generated goes directly into the school system’s operating budget, helping to keep tuition affordable. Bring your items to the Secondary Main Office any time during school hours…or to Donna Kosko in the elementary office. Have questions about the auction? Call Joyce Taylor in the Communications Office at 371-3060, ext. 606, with your questions or comments! Thanks in advance for supporting this system-wide event!
