Fun Activities Planned for National Catholic Schools Week 2018

DCC students will be enjoying a variety of activities in celebration of National Catholic Schools Week 2018 … January 28 – February 2. In addition to the system-wide mass on Wednesday in the school’s gym, which is the highlight of the week’s events, there will be many other opportunities for special activities.

On the elementary level, students will celebrate Day 100 on Friday, February 2, by dressing as 100 years old and playing academic games based on the number 100 in all the disciplines from math and English to science and social studies.   There will be a movie day, Student Appreciation Day, and a Mystery Theater Day for the 5th graders.  The annual Sadecky Puppet Show will also take place during DCC’s Catholic Schools Week.

In middle school, all three grades (6-8) will travel to St. Francis School one afternoon for their annual basketball game. Other plans include Student Appreciation Day, middle school sledding on school grounds, and a movie.

High school students will enjoy Teacher Swap Day as well as Student Appreciation Day, high school sledding on school grounds, and a movie.

Dress down days are always popular for DCC students during Catholic Schools Week, too!
