DCC Benefits from National “Subaru Loves Learning” Initiative

Officials from Johnson Subaru, Inc. of DuBois recently visited DuBois Central Catholic to present science books being donated through the Subaru Loves Learning initiative, a program supporting the goals of the AAAS, American Association for the Advancement of Science.  Participating in the presentation were students, administrators, and representatives from Johnson Subaru of DuBois.

According to Thomas J. Doll, President and COO, Subaru of America, this initiative is all about supporting causes in our local communities that we and our owners care deeply about, including the continued education of our youth. DeSalve says, “Every Subaru dealership across the country had the option, and Johnson Subaru gladly joined in this effort.”   Over 40,000 books are being distributed nationwide through this program.  The school’s selection of “How to Clone a Mammoth…the Science of De-Extinction” by Beth Shapiro, will provide another quality resource for advancing DCC’s secondary science curriculum.
