In keeping with the Lenten Season, DuBois Central Catholic’s 6th graders will present their annual Re-Enactment of the Stations of the Cross during Holy Week 2016. Staging the Passion Play is the final project for their current unit of study on the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, according to Principal Dawn Bressler.
According to faculty advisors Jodi Stewart and Michael Micknis, four student performances have been planned during Holy Week 2016.
On Tuesday, March 22, the students will take their play on the road for a private matinee performance at 9:30 a.m. for the residents of Christ the King Manor.
On Tuesday afternoon, the sixth graders will perform their Passion Play at 1:30 p.m. in the school’s auditorium for the elementary students and staff.
Then on Wednesday, March 23, at 9:30 a.m., middle and high school students and staff will see the Passion Play.
At 7 p.m. that evening, there will be a final performance in the school auditorium for family, friends, and the general public.
There is no charge for any of the performances, according to Principal Bressler.
