The DuBois Area Historical Society hosted a Night at the Museum for young children and their parents. According to the society, the idea was for current citizens to re-enact local historical figures and share their experiences living in the DuBois area. The society’s goal of local history ‘coming alive’ for the children was definitely achieved!
DCC teacher, Donna Chollock, assumed the role of the French governess from the 19th century who was the teacher/governess for the children of John DuBois, founder of the city.
Chollock, along with several other re-enactors, were featured in a Courier-Express news article, on page 3 of the Wednesday, March 2, 2016, issue.
