The Student Council of DuBois Central Catholic High School will be hosting Homecoming on Saturday, December 19. The Cardinals will be playing the Crusaders of Elk County Catholic.
Homecoming events have been organized by Student Council officers Nick Szczerba, President, and Joey Varischetti, Vice-President, along with fellow council members Jake Miknis, Tessa Sayers, Michael Zaffuto, Alexsis Kosko, Riley Meyers, Meghan Graeca, and Mark Latuska.
This year’s Homecoming Dance will be held Friday, December 18. Academic Dean of Curriculum, Kathleen Kunkle, serves as advisor of Student Council.
At halftime of the boys’ varsity game on Saturday night, the Homecoming Court will be recognized and the queen crowned. The court consists of six senior high girls elected through individual class voting.
The members of the 2015-2016 court, along with their escorts, include the following high school students:
- 9th Grade: Mackenzie Park, daughter of Jerry and Leslee Park of DuBois; her escort is Logan Clancy, son of Kerry and Sheila Clancy of Ramey.
- 10th Grade: Sabrina Spencer, daughter of CJ and Gidget Spencer of Grampian; her escort is Thomas Grecco, son of Joseph and Mary Grecco of DuBois.
- 11th Grade: Alexsis Kosko, daughter of Laun and Michelle Hallstrom and Mike Kosko of DuBois; her escort is Michael Misiewicz, son of Jodi Rossi of Reynoldsville and Michael Misiewicz of DuBois.
- 12th Grade (These 3 senior girls will vie for queen):
Kyra Blakley, daughter of Benjamin and Kathleen Blakley of DuBois; her escort is Markus Peterson, son of Erik and Christa Peterson of DuBois.
Kathryn Ellenberger, daughter of Bryan and Kathy Ellenberger of Luthersburg; her escort is Jacob Hollenbaugh, son of Thomas Hollenbaugh of Irvona and Jami Hollenbaugh of Clearfield.
Trisha Kreydt, daughter of Neil and Diana Kreydt of DuBois; her escort is Jonathan Prebe, son of Craig and Danielle Prebe of Clearfield.
