DCC 7th Grader Loves Service

Lindsey Reiter of St. Mary’s Parish in Reynoldsville came up with a creative way to help DCC’s shoe drive for the needy in third world countries.   Lindsey, a 7th grader, decided to use her parish bingo to help collect more shoes for DCC’s shoe drive.  With the support of her parish and their bingo program, she created and distributed a flier that offered free early bird specials for every 3 pairs of shoes donated.  What an overwhelming response she received from her fellow parishioners at St. Mary’s…while also helping her fulfill DCC’s student service hours requirement!  Her flier slogan…If you bring in shoes, you will leave footprints on other people’s hearts… really worked.
