DuBois Central Catholic’s 54th Commencement Exercises will take place the weekend of June 6 and 7. A Baccalaureate Mass for the 31 graduates, their families and friends, will take place Saturday evening, June 6, at 7 p.m. Graduation ceremonies will commence at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 7, in the gym.
Principal Dawn Bressler says, “The members of the Class of 2015 are an intelligent, hardworking, dedicated group of students who through their years at DCC have enjoyed great success. From our musicals to the fields of competition to the student section in the gym, this class of seniors unified not only to support their fellow students and our school but also to support charity events as well as community events. The class is exceptional and superior in so many ways, creating positive memories for themselves as well as for the staff and myself. They will be missed here at Central… and though sad to see this class move on, we are excited to see what their future brings to each of them….and we wish them only the best!”
Senior Class Advisor Carol Korthaus adds, “It has been a joy to work with outstanding young men and women. They live the values of faith and commitment that are our tradition.”
Graduation Weekend 2015 begins with a mass Saturday evening with Reverend Father Edward Walk, Assistant Administrator, presiding along with Msgr. Charles Kaza, President of the school system, and surrounding area priests and pastors.
A reception for the graduates, their families, and friends will follow the liturgy, hosted by members of the current Freshmen Class.
Valedictorian of the Class of 2015 at DuBois Central Catholic High School is Arlan J. Zelenky, son of Joseph and Susan Zelenky of DuBois.
Salutatorian of the Class of 2015 at DCC is Sabrena M. Starr, daughter of Gregory and Tara Starr of Brockport.
Members of the administration will present the diplomas and announce the graduates along with their future plans.
According to tradition, graduates who have distinguished themselves in various academic areas will be awarded gold honor plaques of excellence. Other established scholarships awarded each year to Central’s graduating seniors will also be announced.

The current analysis of the Class of 2015 finds 84.5% attending college, 12% entering the workforce, and 3.5% undecided.
