‘Make a Wish Week’ at DCC
The Class of 2018 at DuBois Central Catholic has organized events for “Make a Wish Week”… set for December 4-8.
On Monday, all proceeds from the secondary library’s ‘cafe’ will be donated to this worthwhile cause. According to Becca Liddle, teachers and families have been asked to provide ‘special goodies’ to be sold to the student body on this day.
On Tuesday, December 5, students during activity period will have the opportunity to participate in a bingo event, with all prizes and surprise treats donated as well.
On Wednesday, December 6, there will be a “Winter Sports Pep Rally” and basketball game between the players and faculty. Also, there will be the “Pie in the Eye” event. Containers with teacher names have been placed in the lobbies of the school, collecting change for Make a Wish. The ‘winner’ will be ‘pied’ at the Pep Rally.
On Thursday, Passages will be presenting a program for the students and staff. Then, on Friday, because it is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, there will be a system-wide mass at 9:20 a.m. in the gym for students, faculty, staff, families and alumni.
“Special thanks” to the Senior Class and advisor Carol Korthaus for spearheading this project in support of ‘Make-A-Wish’!
